The moon is visible through all light though it is hardest to see using x-rays. It orbits around the earth every month and is 240,000 miles away.

The milky way center is also visible through all light. It is a supermassive black hole. It is the heart of our galaxy.

Saturn can be viewed using visible light and radio waves. We can't really see it with x-ray light. It is 890 million miles away from us. It has rings and is the second largest planet; it is also the 6th planet from the sun.

Through all light types we can see planetary nebula like the NGC 7027. A nebula is a glowing gaseous remains of a dying star. The NGC 7027 is 2600 light years away.

The sun can be seen using all light. It is the nearest star to us. At the center of our solar system, it provides heat and warmth for us.

You must travel at 25,000 mph in order to start the venture to Andromeda. After that, you must exponentially increase your speed because it is towards the edge of our galaxy. The center of the Andromeda galaxy is a supermassive black hole.

You must again reach 25,000 mph to leave earth in search of the
Cygnus-X1. The Cygnus-X1 is a binary system that holds a stellar mass black hole. It pulls gases from a star by it to form a bright disk around it.

1. A black hole is a place of infinite gravity.
2. The actual black hole has infinitely small volume.
3. The gravitational force of a black hole makes the area around it look like a big black disk. It also makes light just outside of its reach bend.

First Post

I know how to use facebook and word processing apparently. I can pick up on things very quickly if I'm shown how to do them so no problem there. In this class, global science, I would like to learn mostly about space and astronomy. I want to learn about the stars and planets as much as possible. So yeah, I think this is gonna be a fun class.
:D
